Something about me

Anthony (not Tony)

Besides being a total hockey nut, I have a long history with computers. Starting in the early 80's with a Timex sinclair and a Commodore 64, I later graduated to more powerful platforms like an IBM PC with dual 5.25" floppies! In '87 I got my first Apple Macintosh, a Mac Plus with a whopping 1MB of RAM! From there, there was no looking back.

I also got my first taste of the internet during this time with the textual Lynx and Gopher internet interfaces. I was there when the internet you know today was born. Surfing the net with the completely new visual format on the original Mosaic web browser.

Flash forward to today, after several sucessful entrepreneurial businesses, I have gone back to my first love, computers. I started studio ten69 as a freelance web design firm. I aspire to bring your ideas alive by providing innovative solutions ranging from personal/business websites to highly customized content management solutions. I work with businesses and individuals who need a strong web presence and beautiful websites or blogs that stands apart from the millions of web pages on the internet.

I believe that great design is in the details. I also believe that design must support functionality, and vice versa. One can't, and shouldn't, be used to overcome the weaknesses of the other. Design is more than just choosing colors, typefaces, shapes, and images. Good design works to present information in such a way as to support the information it presents. When I design a website, I'm constantly considering how the site will be built and how it will function. This way, you can be sure that both design and usability will be considered along every step of the way.

Development

I specialize in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript front-end web development. In addition to being well versed in standards-based markup practices, I have worked with PHP and PHP based content management systems like WordPress.
